Pierre Rodocanachi (non-executive Chairman)
Pierre Rodocanachi is the non-executive Chairman of Zephyrus Partners.
Pierre is a former Senior Vice President and Chairman of the French Advisory Board of Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., one of the world’s largest strategy and management consulting firms, now called Strategy&. He has notably served as a member of the Board and Operating Council of the company, and was the Managing Officer of its South European region.
Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Pierre headed the planning department of the French Ministry of Industry for five years, and was the minister’s cabinet member in charge of science and technology.
In 2002, he created an independent advisory structure, MP Conseil, to provide strategic financial guidance to family groups operating large industrial or service companies. Pierre currently serves as a director on the board of several multinational companies, including Vivendi S.A., ENABLON, Group Alain Ducasse, as well as several non-profit organisations. He also served as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in France from 1997 to 2000. He is a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour and of the French National Order of Merit.
Amédée Levillain: co-founder of Zephyrus Partners
Amédée started his career at JP Morgan in 1999 where he was a Vice-President of the Insurance & Pension Group. Before focusing on pensions, he advised financial institutions on M&A issues and complex equity derivatives structuring. He has originated, advised on and structured ground-breaking transactions for the pension funds of European multinational companies and has assisted in the buyout of their pension liabilities in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and the US. One of those transactions received the End-user Risk Award 2006 from Risk Magazine. Amédée graduated from ESSEC Graduate School of Management in France and is a French actuary.
Christophe Louis: co-founder of Zephyrus Partners
Christophe has 17 years of investment banking experience advising financial institutions. He has worked for Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan and has advised on and structured risk hedging and buyout transactions for major UK institutions. He was the architect of one of the largest annuity hedging structures executed for UK insurers. Since 2004, Christophe has focused on UK and Dutch pension schemes asset allocation strategies. He was also involved in the structuring of a large “captive” externalisation in 2007.Christophe graduated in 1989 with a DEA in Physics from Orsay University - Paris XI, and obtained a Masters from the Essec Graduate School of Management in 1990.
Orlando Harvey Wood:
Orlando joined Zephyrus Partners in March 2010, having previously been a partner in the pension practices of Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. As well as developing innovative solutions, Orlando has personal experience both as a trustee and as a scheme actuary. He has over 20 years’ experience advising employers, directors and trustees on their pension arrangements as well as advising regulators and new providers of buy-out products. He has worked with many clients including FT-SE companies on issues of accounting, tax/regulatory change, funding, benefits, strategy and managing/transferring risks. Orlando is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and graduated from Oxford University with an Honours degree in Mathematics.
Julien Le Tyrant:
Prior to joining Zephyrus Partners in February 2009, Julien had spent 5 years with the Insurance & Pension Group of JP Morgan, where he worked on high profile transactions for European pension funds. With key strengths in asset and liability modeling, Julien focused from 2006 on marketing and structuring interest rate, inflation and credit derivatives for French and Belgian corporations. Julien graduated in 2003 from the Ecole Centrale de Paris and holds a Masters in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
Prior to joining Zephyrus Partners in 2008, Sandy worked at Nomura International, becoming Managing Director of the Pension Solutions Group, at Towers Perrin and at Scottish Widows. He has over 30 years’ experience in providing advice and implementation to pension funds, their sponsors and insurers. He is a pension scheme trustee with first hand experience of scheme closure and the implementation of risk mitigation and LDI strategies. Sandy is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries and holds an Honours degree in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics.
Rajiv joined Zephyrus Partners in January 2011, having spent 4 years at Aon Consulting advising corporate and trustee clients on managing their pensions risk exposure as well as getting involved in a variety of internal and one-off client projects. He has valuable experience advising on scheme funding and liability management as well as DB and DC benefit structure redesign. Prior to joining Zephyrus, he was also involved in monitoring the payments required under the first ever longevity swap involving a UK pension scheme. Rajiv is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, graduated from the University of Warwick in 2006 with an Honours degree in Mathematics and holds a Masters in Actuarial Finance from Imperial College Business School.
Redwane Jazouli joined Zephyrus Partners in September 2013, having previously worked in Equity Derivatives Trading with Société Générale in New York. He has gained valuable practical experience through a broad set of roles, ranging from trading to quantitative analysis and modelling, and has the ability to design innovative solutions to complex finance problems. At Zephyrus Partners, his focus is on Asset and Liability Management issues and on investment strategies research. Redwane graduated from the Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics and Finance (ENSAE ParisTech) and holds a Master of Finance degree from MIT Sloan School of Management.
Dhiran joined Zephyrus Partners in January 2016, having spent 5 years as a Consultant in the Willis Towers Watson Retirement practice. Dhiran has gained valuable experience working in teams advising both corporate and trustee clients of a range of sizes and complexities on various issues concerning their DB pension obligations, including scheme funding, benefit design and preparation of accounting disclosures. Dhiran is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and graduated from the University of Warwick in 2010 with an Honours degree in Mathematics, Operational research, Statistics and Economics.
